Professional Profile
Jing Liu serves on several professional committees, including the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE) LiDAR Committee and Digital Ecology Committee, the Low-Altitude Development and Utilization Working Committee of the Chinese Society for Surveying and Mapping, the Resource Mapping Committee of the Chinese Society of Natural Resources, and the Women in Remote Sensing Committee of the Chinese Association of Remote Sensing Applications. She is a youth editorial board member of Plant Phenomics and serves as reviewer for journals including Remote Sensing of Environment, ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, and Agricultural and Forest Meteorology.
Research Directions
- LiDAR Remote Sensing: Algorithm development and applications for multi-scale LiDAR (terrestrial, airborne, spaceborne) including forest surveys, terrain mapping, and urban land cover classification.
- Vegetation Remote Sensing: Quantitative retrieval of forest structural parameters from multi-source remote sensing, virtual forest environment modeling, and applications in forest resource management and terrestrial ecosystem carbon cycling.
- Point Cloud Intelligent Processing: Algorithms for point cloud feature extraction, segmentation, classification, and 3D modeling.
